2026 update: Listed as closed in the Mammoth Lakes campground report, checked September 13, 2026. A reopening date has not been confirmed. Check the latest campground status and Reds Meadow Road access schedule before planning a stay. Confirmed 2027 season dates are not yet available.

When access reopens: From US 395, take CA 203 west through Mammoth Lakes, turn right onto Minaret Road to remain on CA 203, and continue past Mammoth Mountain Main Lodge toward Minaret Vista. Continue on Reds Meadow Road past the entrance station. From the entrance station, drive approximately 2.7 miles down Reds Meadow Road. Turn right onto Agnew Meadows Road and follow signs for the reserved group campsite. The final access road is narrow and unpaved. Recreation.gov does not recommend RVs or trailers on the group-camp access.
